Mike Thom spent a decade in traditional church ministry at Willowlake Baptist Church as their Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and eventually Lead Pastor for 2.5 years. He has been in broadcasting for 15 years, most recently as a radio personality at CHVN for the last 6 years, where he is also now the Program Director. He is also an award-winning writer and speaker.
Through experiences of trauma, and tragedy, Mike found himself dealing with grief in unhealthy manners as a teen and young adult. He would battle addiction off and on for nearly a decade.
On June 26, 2006, Mike had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. Mike’s pain and addictions were healed and he committed himself to live a life dedicated to ministering to others who have experienced trauma. He himself continues to experience trauma and tragedy in new ways, and he writes about facing these realities of life with the reality of a living and loving God.
